Frequently asked questions
Is home insurance compulsory in France?
For tenants, yes: you must give your landlord an insurance certificate when you move in and every year. For owners it is not compulsory by law in most cases, but it is required in a condominium (civil liability), by mortgage lenders, and strongly recommended everywhere.
Can a non-resident or a foreigner get home insurance in France?
Yes. You do not need to be French. Tell us where you live, how often you use the home, and whether it will be rented. We find a suitable solution.
What if my home is empty for part of the year?
Many contracts include special conditions when a home is left unoccupied for a long time (often more than 90 days in a row). Tell us your real use so you are properly covered.
Can I do everything online, from abroad?
Yes, in most cases. Send your documents through the quote, an adviser calls you, then you sign electronically. You can also come to our Cannes agency.
Do you speak my language?
This site is available in 11 languages and our team will help you in English and French. Write to us in your language: we will do our best.
